How Google Sees Australia in Autocomplete

December 7, 2010

Google For Business

Recently Google has introduced a new feature in their search services. It is called Google Autocomplete. When you start typing your search words Google automatically and dynamically offers you some of the most popular options. So, for instance if you were to type into Google the Australian states and state capitals you would find out how Google sees Australia at any particular time in space. Today, for instance you’d learn that Australians like to dress up in lingerie, can’t spell very good, love horse races and watch too much TV; and their national emblem is the Tasmanian Devil! … This is, of course the funny side of the Google Autocomplete. It is actually quite a good service which works both on local levels as well as on global searches. Give it a go and find out how Google sees your country or hometown.
