Pretty awesome, eh? Here’s a quick recap of all the things you need to know and do:
1. Upload Directly
Nobody wants to have to click through a messy url to get to your video. Make it easy for your followers to get to your content by uploading a video directly into Facebook. This will also make it easier for your video to be shared to different pages and for people to tag their friends in the comments.
2. Feature the Video
You might not know that Facebook now allows you to feature a video on your page. You will have to navigate to the About Me section and edit it. Here, you will see that you are able to make your video featured, which will increase the likelihood of people clicking it.
3. Make A Playlist
This may seem unnecessary, but in all reality it is a very key feature in showing your audience that you care about the content you create. Creating a playlist is not only so viewers can easily find content they are looking for, but you will also stay organized in the process.
4. Make It Your Cover Photo

Nobody wants to sit through a ten-minute long video while they are looking for something entertaining. Your video will fall flat if it is too long and you could run the risk of boring your audience. Keep your viral video short and to the point, but try to make it so it will leave a lasting impression on your viewers.
8. Embed Your Video
This is important to expanding your audience. If you run other blogs or websites, be sure to embed your video on those platforms as well. Even if you part of other Facebook groups, check the community guidelines and be sure to share your video there too.
9. Square Your Video
Successful videos on Facebook or formatted to be square. This is because this is what the mobile version of Facebook is optimized for. Most Facebook users are on their mobile devices. So, if you want to video to do well, make sure it is square.
10. Make It Work Without Sound
Believe it or not, most people scrolling through Facebook are doing it with their volume turned completely off. Have you noticed Facebook videos with captions saying: “turn sound on!”? Make sure you have little captions or helpful subtitles in your video, so it can still entertain without sound.
